TSFR was alerted for a reported motor vehicle crash with a rollover late in the afternoon of Wednesday February 19. TSFR Rescue 85, and Western Berks EMS Medic 6511 were dispatched and responded accordingly, with additional information provided now reporting entrapment and injuries. As such Wyo FD Engine 79, Western Berks FD Engine 18-2 plus two additional medic units were added to the assignment.
R85 arrived to find a 2-vehicle accident with a van on its roof. Captain 85 performed a 360° scene survey and discovered no entrapment, but did report four individuals complaining of injuries, along with debris and automotive fluid. Medics 6511, 6512 and I6513 arrived and began patient assessment and care. Personnel from E79, E18-2 and R85 assisted with patient care and then cleaned up debris and covered minor fluids on the roadway with absorbent material. Fire Police were summoned to control traffic around the incident.
When all tasks were completed, Captain 85 released all units and R85 remained on location to assist the Tow company. Once the vehicles were removed, R85 and Fire police were made available.
