On Saturday May 11, TSFR participated in the Spring Township Touch a Truck event, which was held at the Shiloh Hills Elementary School in southern Spring Township. Tanker 85 and the Kids Safety House with several TSFR members attended and used the opportunity to provide fire prevention messages and an explanation of what firefighters do. Later in the day, Rescue Engine 85 and the duty crew also joined the members.

TSFR equipment and personnel joined Township and private contractors who displayed earth moving equipment, vacuum trucks, dump trucks, and snow plows. A Township police unit and Berks County Park Ranger marine unit were also on display.
