During the month of July TSFR personnel and equipment paid a visit to four Spring Twp Park and Rec playgrounds. TSFR Fire Prevention Lt Gibbs and on duty personnel spearheaded the effort that provided information to the kids and staff on such topics as smoke and CO detectors, fireworks safety, and fire safety in the home. The visits lasted for about an hour each and culminated in a tour of an operating fire engine.

Playgrounds visited included Breneman Park on July 9, Colony Park on July 16, Drexelwood on July 17, Len Oak on July 22. A total of 136 children and staff members were involved.
