On Tuesday night September 24, Tanker 85 participated in a mutual aid tanker shuttle drill with neighboring Lancaster County units. The drill was coordinated by Smokestown Station 17-2 and involved a simulated barn fire with a completely tanker supported water supply, which is a normal condition in rural areas.

The entire operation was carried out in a giant loop. TSFR Tanker 85 joined tankers from Smokestown, Martindale, Shafferstown, Dulach/Mt.Airy, Cumru Twp, Brecknock, Farmersville and Five Points in moving water from a fill site which was operated by a Reamstown engine operating from draft at a local lake. The engine pumped thru a 5" supply to a manifold supplying smaller hose lines to fill individual tankers.

The filled tankers them moved to a dumpsite which was operated by a pumper from Reinholds. The Reinholds pumper moved water from the dumpsite consisting of manifolded dump tanks thru several hundred feet of 5" to supply Reamstown's tower ladder.
