It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of TSFR retired legacy member Joseph Stemler. Joe passed away Friday night December 6.

Joe was a long-time member of the legacy West Lawn Fire Company, and in that capacity served as Vice President, Chief Engineer, Lieutenant and Fire Prevention Coordinator. Joe carried that love of the fire service and his community over into Twp of Spring Fire Rescue when the new department was formed. Joe was an active participant in and advocate of fire prevention activities until his retirement from active service. No word yet on any arrangements going forward.

Services will be held West Lawn United Methodist on Friday December 13, with visitation from 0900-1100, services at 1100, and interment at the Sinking Spring Cemetary at 1230. TSFR members wishing to pay respects as a group should assemble at the WLUMC Community Center (former West Lawn Fire Co.) at the memorial plaque on Noble Street at 0930 in Class A uniforms.
