A fire was reported in the 2300 block of Monroe Ave in the West Wyomissing section of Spring Twp early in the afternoon of Tuesday July 17. The fire was reported to involve the side of the house with smoke in the residence.

TSFR Engine 85 responded along with our mutual aid partners from Wyomissing Ladder 79, Shillington Engine 36, Western Berks Fire Engine 18-1 and Ladder 18, Mohnton Engine 57, and Mount Penn Station E1 for RIT. Western Berks EMS and Spring Twp PD also assisted.

E85 arrived and reported smoke showing and immediately stretched a hose line to attack the fire. Other companies provided a supply hose line, an additional attack line and ladders. Personnel completed search and rescue operations and vented the smoke using fans. Fortunately, all occupants were out of the home on our arrival, and the fire was placed under control in short order.
