On Wednesday evening, TSFR participated in the National Night Out event sponsored by the Spring Township Police, which was held at the Township Police Building on Windmill Road. National Night Out is held annually across the nation and is intended to foster a closer working relationship between a community and its law enforcement resources. This year's program was originally scheduled for earlier in the month but was postponed due to inclement weather.

STPD always invites other first responders and public groups. TSFR has always been a participant, and this year was no exception. Engine 85 was on static display and members were present to hand out information and provide an up close and personal experience with our neighbors. Fire Prevention Lt. Gibbs estimated that we had over 200 personal contact opportunities.
