On Wednesday night October 9, TSFR was tasked with operating the County DES Mobile Mass Decontamination Trailer at the Berks County Fire Training Center on Morgantown Road. The trailer was staged with the County Haz Mat team during the visit of presidential candidate Donald Trump to the Santander Arena in downtown Reading.

The mobile decon unit is designed to move multiple persons exposed to any type of chemical or biological attack thru a water shower and into more definitive care or housing. TSFR operates the trailer in support of the County Haz Mat eam and was staffed by Deputy 85 and a combination of career and volunteer personnel for the duration of the standby.

The trailer was on duty until released by the Dept of Emergency Services at approximately 2130 hours having been deployed since approximately 1600 hrs.
