Our Monday night drill on October 7 covered basic hose and ladder operations in preparation for our second and final Department wide drill planned for later in the month. Engine and Tanker 85 were positioned on the ramp. One team of members then deployed an extension ladder and a roof ladder from Tanker 85, extended them to the roof of the station on the West Wyomissing Blvd and then ascended to the roof.

A second team pulled a 2' attack line off the officer side of Engine 85. the hose line was stretched through the station to the back of the engine bay, charged and then advanced to the mezzanine storage area.

While on the surface the evolutions seemed simple, rehearsal of the basics is essential to keeping skills sharp.
