The regular Monday night drill on November 18 focused on an introduction to our new on-line reporting software, First Due. This one source app and website will allow personnel to be alerted to, respond to, and report on all emergency calls to which the Department has been dispatched. It will also be used to record and track more routine events such as apparatus fueling, maintenance work orders, duty scheduling, event planning and so forth. EMTs will also be able to use the program to document patient care on QRS calls. The class was instructed online by a First Due company rep and was followed by a more in-depth presentation focusing on local applications provided by Captain Risell who has spearheaded the implementation process.
TSFR is also being joined in this effort by neighboring departments such as Wyomissing, Western Berks and West Reading FD's and Westen Berks Ambulance among others.
Members will be receiving additional training and updates as the implementation proceeds and we get more experience in using it. |
