On Wednesday December 25, TSFR Engine 85 was dispatched to Route 222 Northbound, near the Shillington exit in Cumru Twp. on a mutual aid assignment to the Cumru Twp Fire Dept. for a possible vehicle fire. Further information indicated a fire in the engine compartment with all occupants out.

E85 responded along with Cumru Engine 42 and Mohnton Engine 57, and while enroute received several reports of a fully involved passenger vehicle fire. E85 arrived on location and deployed the 150' 1-3/4" bumper hose line and began attacking the fire. TSFR members assisted the other companies with chocking the vehicle, gaining access to the trunk and performing overhaul. When all tasks were completed, E85 was released by Captain 42 and returned.
