On Thursday morning May 18,a report of a vehicle into a building with possible fire resulted in a structure fire assignment consisting of TSFR Engine 85, Wyomissing Ladder 79, Western Berks FD Ladder 18, West Reading Engine 64, Kenhorst Engine 69-1, Reading Fire, Engine 3, Mohnton Fire 57 as Rapid Intervention Team and Western Berks EMS Ambulance 6515 and, Squad 650 to be dispatched to a residence on Hawthorne Court in the Spring Ridge Section of Spring Township.

L79 and SQ650 arrived and confirmed the report of the vehicle to the rear of the structure with minor damage to the structure. Accordingly, E85 recalled most of the assignment. On arrival, Captain 85 met with Captain 79 who stated there was damage to the AC unit and minor to no damage to the structure from what they could see. L79s crew was already in the process of shutting down the affected breakers for the AC unit.

Captain 85 released the remaining companies except E85 and the EMS units. E85 remained on location until the vehicle was removed and Deputy 85 then made units available.
