TSFRS members past and present would like to express our condolences to the family, friends and brothers and sisters in the law enforcement community on the sudden and untimely passing of retired Spring Township Chief of Police Michael Messner.

Many of us from the legacy departments and early days of the TSFRS merger will remember working with Chief Messner during that period. Mike rose in the STPD ranks of Patrolman all the way to the top as Chief, retiring in 2007. Along his way he also served as a firefighter with the Shillington Fire Company and also as a Western Berks Ambulance volunteer.
