TSFRS would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family, friends and the entire law enforcement community on the Line of Duty Death of PA State Police Trooper Michael E Pahira, Jr. Trooper Pahira was struck and killed by a passing semi while conducting a safety inspection of a commercial vehicle on the side of the road on I-81 near Frackville, on Wednesday morning July 1. Trooper Pahira was a veteran trooper of over 19 hears of service and was assigned to Troop L Frackville. He is survived by his parents and sister.
