| The Summer Adventure Camp located at the Body Zone Sports Complex on Paper Mill Road in Spring Township provides a day camp for kids that includes swimming, ice skating, sports on giant fields, arts and crafts and special Monday Art Classes. They also have outdoor programs like a camp garden project, weekly themed activities and rotating attractions.
One of those outdoor attractions was held on Tuesday morning July 8 when TSFRS Engine 85, along with our friends from Western Berks EMS, Western Berks FD, and Berks County Search and Rescue, paid them a first responder-oriented visit. About 80 campers and their councilors were shown the workings of our engine, WBFDs ladder truck, a WBEMS medic unit and BCSAR’s drone trailer. The units were set up in the rear parking area, and all the campers rotated thru each location over a two hour period and were able to get up close and personal with the equipment and personnel.
