In the evening of Monday June 5, a structure fire assignment was dispatched to a restaurant on Crossing Drive in Wyomissing Boro, for a mulch fire against the building. Units arrived on location to find a mulch fire against the building at the main entrance, the bulk of which had been extinguished by the employees. However, on closer evaluation the wall was determined to be hot to the touch. Accordingly personnel opened up the wall and found fire actively burning behind the wall, involving wooden members and backing to the wall finish.

Personnel applied water, overhauled the area, checked for exension and vented smoke from the interior of the building.
